11/11/11 (2011)
Well, it WAS nice to see Hayden Byerly. His looks remind me quite a lot of Didier Haudepin.

My Movie Rating: 6 / 10800 balas (2002)
I think they could have chopped about 20 minutes from the film without any loss of continuity or mood. The premise is a clever one and makes an involving film. I am in the grip of subtitle fatigue though. As a crude groundling, I would welcome an English track on such films, especially since most of the dialog is given to adult actors.

My Movie Rating: 6 / 10A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
I have become more aware of the conceptual flaws in the film, having had time to back off from the parts with strong emotional appeal. Still considered by me to be a 'must watch' if only for Haley's performance.
I think it was definitely a mistake to attempt combining the sensibilities of directors Spielberg and Kubrick. It is a marriage that is too jarring to work.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10About a Boy (2002)
A charming black comedy?? I dunno. But it was fun.

My Movie Rating: 7 / 10The Adventures of Ociee Nash (2003)
A warm, low-key film with nary a hint of violence or modern despair. The young actors are all good and the sense of time (1898) and place is perfectly captured.
Only two well-known adult actors among the cast. In watching, I was struck by how many excellent actors there are out there in hundreds of local theater groups who appear sometimes, almost anonymously, in an occasional small movie.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994)
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Adventures of Sharkboy and Lava Girl in 3-D (2005)
Never thought I'd see this one but it just popped out at me while channel surfing. It's a very good kid's fantasy and I refuse to be too critical since the kids are so charming and attractive and do some very decent acting.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Afraid of the Dark (1991)
Very interesting but ultimately heartbreaking. I thought Ben Keyworth did an awesome job of acting.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Agi i Ema (2007)
A lovely and beautifully produced fantasy with one of the most angelic boys I've ever seen on screen. I found the fantasy very heavy-footed in spots and therefore not perfect. Even fantasy has to have some kind of inner logic. The music score, consisting of several classical pieces, is perfect.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10Agnes Browne (1999)
I got so disgusted hearing this 'mother' say f**k every third sentence that the movie was ruined for me. And she scolded her son for using the same language! Is this motherhood in this brave new century?
My Movie Rating: 4 / 10Aideistä parhain (2005)
Beautifully done.
