The cinematography is first rate and enchanting and Thibault (although himself french) plays the part of a greek island boy with sensuous grace and talent.

The Selfish Giant (2013)

Gritty and real with a superb performance by Connor Chapman as Arbor. At times a difficult film with the characters presented as rude and unpleasant but it makes one understand the plight of children in impoverished families in the UK where violence is probably the basis for everyday life.
