Die Brennende Schnecke (1995)

The copy I viewed [from CVMC] was very poor in picture quality. As for the film I am not attracted to senseless violence and this film ends with such a scene. It made me reject the whole film as worthless. You can find better things to watch.

De helaasheid der dingen (2009)

At first I did not know whether to laugh or cry for the boy who is the main character in the film. Soon you know you should do both. He's growing up with 4 drunken men - 3 uncles and his father. It's a good story if you can stand the drunken antics of the men, including a naked bike race. A well made film and one that you would like. I recommend it.

Perl oder Pica (2006)

What to say about this one? There is not much of a plot but it is a pleasant enough film. Seems WW2 still loomed large in 1962 in the Europe where this is set.

Walter and Henry (2001)

Nice, slightly sappy movie but a good worthwhile film to spend the evening with. Nicholas Braun does a super job in his role. Lots of close ups. Funniest line in the movie: "Talk about acid flashbacks" - a line by his father. As a side note, watch for a very young Michael Cera in one scene of about a minute. Watch it you'll like it.

Zion Ve Ahav (2009)

After watching this once, I was not sure if it all came together at the end so I watched it a second time. It's the story of 2 brothers whose ties are torn by a tragic accident. It is a good story, but not one you have to see. It's a keeper for my collection.
