Josh and S.A.M. (1993)

An ok movie with some good moments in.

Kicking and Screaming (2005)

Fairly mediocre family comedy. One or two funny moments, but it unfortunately errs too much on the side of moralistic rather than just plain comedy.

Liar Liar (1997)

A good Jim Carrey movie - you'll hate it if you don't like him.

The Little Vampire (2000)

Rollo Weeks was good, Jim Carter's comic bits were good, the rest was twee if not bad, and Richard E. Grant should bloody well know better.

Look Who's Talking Now (1993)

Quite watchable family comedy. The celebrity voice-over thing was only really amusing in the first movie, but they've done enough with the movies since so as not to be an annoyance.

Mercury Rising (1998)

Miko is fantastic - utterly believable. It's a pity Bruce Willis' character was the usual angst-ridden homicidal manic depressive - albeit without the grimy vest this time.

Milk Money (1994)

An appealing movie, though very short on the adult acting quality department. Malcolm McDowell, star of such classics as If & Clockwork Orange, reduced to a bit part as a cheesy mobster delivering stereotypical Cockney dialogue....why, Malcolm, why?

Apart from that, good performances by the boys :)

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)

Very much a Robin Williams movie. But, as much as that is the case, and as much as I dislike his humour, fairly watchable.

Overboard (1987)

One of those 80's thow-away comedies. Reasonable enough, with one or two funny moments to recommend it.

Roseanne (1988-1997)

Mainly a vehicle for Roseanne Arnold's particular brand of "humour", but the rest of the cast do make their own mark, and the result is pretty good. Of course, seeing DJ grow up over the years was the best part :-)

Signs (2002)

Some people have said M. Night Shyamalan is a one-trick director - I'd say this - Sixth Sense was an inspired all-time classic, Unbreakable was mediocre, and with Signs, he's just lost the plot.

Good performances, especially from Rory Culkin and Mel Gibson, and the first part of the film was fairly reasonable. But the last 20 minutes were a bitter disappointment.

There again, would I have felt the same way had I not been expecting a revelatory-turn-it-on-its-head ending?
