The Cider House Rules (1999)
Yeah, nice movie indeed. It has a lot to it. Growing up and taking responsibility. Outstanding are Erik Per Sullivan as the ill kid and Kieran Culkin. Nothing too special though.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Dog Days of Summer (2007)
The boys did a fine job. I liked the ending, when the narrator actually meets his younger self, and, this time, takes him with him - which for me means reconcile himself with his past and emerge as a stroger, healthier person as a result of it.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Dog's Best Friend (1997)
A nice movie well worth watching, at the very least for the unusual feature of talking animals but also as it has an interesting story and a smart Adam Zolotin.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Dorme (2006)
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Dreamcatcher (2003)
I read the book prior to watching the movie and was somehow disappointed by the end. I didn't like the filmmakers idea of Duddits being an alien. The movie itself is still worth watching, as it has its good sequences. The story is very mysterious and exciting, at least at the beginning when you don't know what the hell is going to happen. The bathroom/shower scene is very good, poor old Beaver. It is a typical Stephen King movie, as many of his stories have these flashback-to-the-past patterns. Here it was nice, but lacked some kind of real emotional affiliation with the present. It could have been made better, no doubt. The boys are doing a good job, though to me they seemed to be too different from the book.

My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Dunston Checks In (1996)
Funny movie, interesting story, nice transformation. It's one of these typical entertainment movies you either love or can't stand. Eric Lloyd is a very talented young actor, indeed.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Dutch (1991)
Right, I remember this one. It was great to see how Ed O'Neill managed to deal with Ethan's character. The movie features some very smart sequences. One of the better road movies, not too serious, but then again very sincere.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Eight Legged Freaks (2002)
Nothing great, but entertaining.

My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Explorers (1985)
I very much agree with Cal. The beginning is very promising, but hey, the aliens are pathetic.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Father Hood (1993)
The movie is a bit surreal, but the story itself has potential. Patrick Swayze is as cool as ever. To be watched out for if you're a fan of Brian Bonsall. Definitely not a must watch, but there are some nicely shot scenes between the kids and their dad.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Free Willy 3: The Rescue (1997)
Okay, better than part two again. The whole Free Willy series struggles with the way the very good first movie is continued. This one here had some good parts (like the young boy trying to persuade his father not to kill Willy), slightly above the average.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Geppetto (2000)
A musical. I liked it, it has some nice images. Seth Adkins did a fine job. Slightly above the average.

Well said, Cal!

Promising story, rather awkward transformation.
