7 / 10 7 / 10 I know my tastes often run contrary to other users on this site, but this one is a complete mystery. I don't understand the high ratings at all. Everyone in this movie behaves like a complete idiot and it's infuriating. I'm not going to list the things wrong with how the characters behave here, because that would just be pointless.
In spite of how often I thought the movie was, the boys both do a good job acting and they have lots of time onscreen, so I would say it's worth checking out. I would have given this a much lower rating were it not for them.
My Movie Rating: 5 / 10 I give it a "must watch" because the ending made me jump up and pace up and down in front of the TV in nervous anticipation... excellent mixture of suspense and mystery... excellent boys as well, Dakota surely knows how to do it

9 / 10 Excellent movie, fantastic thrills, just the right amount of horror. A potential classic to rematch in a few years. Dakota Goyo and Kadan Rockett give the best possible acting you could expect from the genre.
My Movie Rating: 10 / 10 Dakota Goyo looked and acted great in 'Dark Skies' as did Kadan Rockett but the film was somewhat flawed in its plotline. The prejudiced neighbours never seemed to enquire as to why the birds only flew into the Barrett's house or why none of them noticed the bright lights when the aliens were trying to gain entry into the Barrett's household. Horror is always at its best when it takes place in some remote area and not in an urban street where you know other people are only a stone's throw away. Also there was no interview in the DVD extras with Dakota. Boo.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10 WOW!! Dakota was amazing, All Dakota Goyo Fans must see this movie! Kadan was wonderful too, especially the scene where he goes outside in his undies! lots of shockers, I loved the intimate Sibling scenes between Dakota and Kadan.
I found this movie very enjoyable, mainly because there wasn't ANY blood or gore scenes!
