Pay It Forward (2000)

I thought the premise of this movie was very engaging and unusual. I liked the premise and the first 90% of the movie a lot.

I did not like the ending, however, as I think the movie veered away from the fine premise and went for a melodramatic conclusion that did not do the original theme justice.

This movie was okay for me. Peter Pan as the kid who never grows up -- kind of poignant.

Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991)

Similar comments to the first "Blue Lagoon" -- nice visuals but otherwise not much to recommend it.

Searching for Bobby Fischer (1993)

I liked this movie very much. It was enlightening for me, with regard to chess competition, showing the interest and intrigue of it that I never realized existed before.

The Shining (1980)

Some very good climactic scenes, with good build up of suspense prior to those climaxes. Nice & creepy.

The Sixth Sense (1999)

Eerie, very good mystery / suspense movie, with surprise ending. All the pieces of the puzzle fit in the end. Haley Joel Osment put in a very nice performance.
