Synopsis
Young Trevor has an alcoholic mother and fears his abusive but absent father. He becomes deeply involved in a school assignment: think of something to change the world and put it into action. Trevor conjures the notion of paying a favor not back, but forward--repaying good deeds not with payback, but with new good deeds done to three new people. His efforts start an extraordinary social revolution but there are tragic consequences.

10 / 10 In a decent world the idea behind 'Pay It Forward' would flourish unfortunately we haven't reached that stage yet. A so-so film with Haley great as always but the ending was rather a tear jerker and a bit too sloppy. What we Brits would call typical American schmaltz.
