Synopsis
A drifter rides into the middle of a range war between farmers and cattlemen. While helping a kindly farmer, Shane falls platonically in love with the man's wife. The strong bond that develops between the stoical Shane and Joey, the young son of the farmer, is often thought of as being one of the most memorable ever filmed.

10 / 10 I must agree with Synopsis for this beloved treasure! A very strong cast of timeless legends of the silver screen! A wonderful story of the Pioneers of the American way of life in the 1800's. Brandon was adorable, in the scene of all the towns people, you'll see Ladd's son, David
as an extra. This movie is definately a must see!
My Movie Rating:
10 / 10 This is a classic Western if not THE classic Western. Brandon De Wilde is outstanding playing the homesteader's little boy, Joey, and worthy of an Oscar nomination. Alan Ladd is great as Shane even if he was rather undersized for the part. Apparently, he had to stand on a box in some of the scenes! A wonderful film with its famous dramatic ending.
