10 / 10 I must agree with Synopsis for this beloved treasure! A very strong cast of timeless legends of the silver screen! A wonderful story of the Pioneers of the American way of life in the 1800's. Brandon was adorable, in the scene of all the towns people, you'll see Ladd's son, David
as an extra. This movie is definately a must see!
My Movie Rating:
10 / 10 This is a classic Western if not THE classic Western. Brandon De Wilde is outstanding playing the homesteader's little boy, Joey, and worthy of an Oscar nomination. Alan Ladd is great as Shane even if he was rather undersized for the part. Apparently, he had to stand on a box in some of the scenes! A wonderful film with its famous dramatic ending.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10 7 / 10 Wonderful film. Classic, quintessential western. Would probably be a 10/10 were it not for the fact that Brandon De Wilde is actually kind of a shitty actor. :/
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10 9 / 10 A wonderful classic. Not only for those who love westerns, but also for those who like solid classic acting that brings out the best in the characters. Alan Ladd in maybe his best ever role. Watch out for it!
