Gave it this rating solely because of Martin Stephens. The movie wasn't that great but those scenes with Martin was OK.

10 / 10 Cripes what a creepy chiller, and what amazing cinematography from Freddie Francis. It manages not to be a piece of dated Freudianism: the themes are just as topical now. Martin Stephens is great.

10 / 10 Chilling film with a remarkable performance from Martin Stephens, and a script which Truman Capote helps elevate to a unique retelling of this story. It does drag a bit towards the end and more screen time with Stephens would have been nice.
