5 / 10 Though not specifically a boy film, you knew from the start there was a screw missing with Robin Williams's character. Dylan Smith played his limited part well enough.

3/1/2014 If Robin had done this movie before Insomnia, I think he'd been in line for an Oscar nomination, because it was SUCH a contrast to the characters he usually played, at least upto that point in his career! The character he played in Insomnia really creeped me out! this character intrigued me. Robin Williams is just a big kid at heart(If you want proof, watch Inside The Actor's Studio with Wms. as guest), that why he's so good at the rolls he does.
Robin's oldest Son got in trouble at school once for telling an inappropriate joke, when asked where he heard it, he said his Dad told it to him! This movie definately worth the time to watch, just for Williams performance.

I dont never wish to see film again bcause one scene in bedroom Robin Williams in. It seem stupid to put in movie and I dont like it.
My Movie Rating: 5 / 10 I'm not a Robin Williams fan by any stretch of the imagination, but his performance in this was superb. I'd agree with josephk that it's more of a character study than thriller, and a fairly well balanced study at that : while at times he's definitely painted as the villain, at others you're allowed to see his point of view. Good ending as well.
