I loved this movie mainly because Brian Bonsall is in it. It wasn't really a terrible movie but I wouldn't say it was great either. Brian is a great little actor and I like anything that he is in but out of all of his movies I would say that this was my least favorite. If you really like Brian you might want to check it out. If not then you might want to pass it up.

Brian Bonsall is a smart actor, I agree. I have seen this one a few years ago. I remember it having been a more or less average movie. The story was basically good, but the actual transformation on screen was fairly simple and didn't match the quality I look for in father-son stories, which belong to my favorites in general. Brian was still decent; he made me watch through the whole movie. I wonder if they could have made a better movie if they'd cast a different guy as his dad...

An easily forgetable film. Only worth watching if you like Bonsall, who gives a routine performance. The plot has loopholes galore.

This was a horrible movie mostly do to Bob Sagat's charater, who wasn't even remotely likable. His constant complaining and sarcasm with intent to funny was a really dumb idea. Nobody likes a whiner. I spent the entire movie feeling bad Brian Bonsall's character. The non-complaining parents that actually had a good bond with their children were made to look like the bad guys.

To most intents and purposes, this is an absolutely terrible film. It's mostly a vehicle for Bob Saget's sarcasm.

One of the film's messages did ring true though - the lessons of childhood are far harder to learn in adulthood.
