What a tremendous movie. The whole film is riveting from beginning to end. Eamonn Owens is brilliant as the psychotic Francie, the very personable Alan Boyle plays his best friend Joe beautifully, and I even felt quite sorry for Phillip Nugent, played by Andrew Fullerton. Highly recommended.

When bad things happen to good people you can get an electric film. This movie is truly a gem. I enjoyed it from start to finish. The Cuban Missile Crises playing out in the background adds a fitting sub-plot to the story. I'll be watching this movie many time in the years to come.

A sure masterpiece of some sort, but a painful one. Eamon Owens is brilliant, Alan Boyle is a heartbreaker. Something about the tone of the narration and the progression of events reminded me constantly of A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.

Captivating performance by the young lead, Eamonn Owens. The movie itself is perfectly scripted, with a grown-up narrator re-living his childhood memories. The gradual development of the young protagonist from neglected kid to insane killer is brilliantly transformed. The story is dark and gloomy, at the same time with a subtle and surreal comic edge, leaving you uneasy but at the same time strangely affected.
