A pleasant version of the all time classic. I can't agree with 'Boymoviebuff' only giving it a 5 star rating because he couldn't see Jonathan Taylor Thomas's face. JTT looked like he needed to keep off the hamburgers and anyway I thought the puppet looked better. Some great scenes with lots of boys having supporting roles.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10It's worth a look if you like JTT, and I do! I gave this a 5 because you don't get to see Jonathan's beatiful face til the end of the movie.
My Movie Rating: 5 / 10It was okay. Nice images, nice story, nice adaptation of a well-known plot. In particular the kids turning into donkeys was nicely staged here. A solid 6.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10I love JTT, but this movie's kinda disappointing..sorry:(

It has a certain charm. The animatronic Pinnochio was quite impressive and likeable. (Like Cinefan below, I found him cuter than JTT!) The computer-animated cricket, however, is awful, and jars with the visuals of the rest of the film. Another letdown is when, at the end, Pinocchio wants his Papa to make him a girlfriend. Come on, you've got Lampwick (Corey Carrier); what more do you want? All in all, worth viewing at least once.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10
