My rating is almost entirely due to Skandar Keynes' performance. I found most of the other actors/characters rather annoying, including William Moseley. The CG effects are also quite bad at times. But as far as fantasy movies go, this is at least entertaining. Tilda Swinton is great as the evil witch, too.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Interesting film -- although I was a little skeptical when I heard (in advance) that it had Christian imagery in it, it seemed to work okay in the story, just kind of an inspirational, "good triumphs over evil" type message. I'm not entirely sure if I would take a kid to see it -- maybe with a little explanatory talk afterward, it would be okay.
Otherwise, a nice fantasy story.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10I have to admit up front that I find it hard to criticize boy actors as attractive as the two boys here, since their acting is more than adequate.
Actually I was most moved by the magnificent figure of Aslan, the savior lion with Liam Neeson's voice. Incredibly good voice casting, and it is remarkable that computer effects have come so far that one could respond emotionally to a creature who was mostly a digital creation in key scenes.

Is it just me or is there something faintly sleazy about Mr. Tumnus? It's something about his exposed nipples. Mr. Tumnus has sleazy nipples. This adaptation is enjoyable, Skandar Keynes is great, as is the handsome William Moseley, and Tilda Swinton is particularly memorable as the White Witch. Having said that, I am not a fan of CGI, and I must admit that I prefer the 1988 BBC miniseries, made on a fraction of the budget.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10
