6 / 10 6 / 10 6 / 10 An Americanised version of the novel in all the ways that it could be. To my mind the whole point of the novel was that, on arrival at the island, the boys were all innocent and untouched by the horrors that humanity can subject itself to, which is then destroyed as anarchy and violence take over. The boys in this movie however are older and far more worldy-wise, which makes the transition from innocence to evil rather pointless. Peter Brook's version is far superior.
Still, some good scenes nonetheless :)
