10 / 10 Enjoyed it. I love Russian films.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10 9/10 for Misha's performance! the movie over all get a 7/10, the story was a little hard to follow because I had to keep pausing to read the subs. I enjoyed the movie as a whole, Misha was a delight. If you like the "Boy yearning for a Father figure" type story, then you'll probably like this if for nothing else, for Misha Philipchuk!

My Movie Rating: 7 / 10 A small time criminal, this thief. Sanya was excellently portrayed in his younger years. A charming kid.

8 / 10 Poor kid. Ever need a father, but one wasn't around? Little Sanjay had that dilemma. At first he resists the charm of his mother's boyfriend, but eventually the "soldier" wins him over.
Sad story of a little boy who just wanted a dad.
Quite a captivating movie.

9 / 10 I'm always worried with subtitled films that I won't be able to follow the storyline well enough while taking in the atmosphere of the film at the same time. That certainly wasn't the case with this movie though - I think "captivating" is an appropriate word. Fantastic movie, if tragic.
