9 / 10 9 / 10 9 / 10 9 / 10 I could be wrong, but I think it was Bobby Carridines character that died in the stampede! I love this movie, it was one of my first boy movies, that I watched solely on the basis that boys were in it! I'm the same age as Clay, and he was the reason I was attracked to the movie. beyond that, it's a great coming of age story, they leave boys and come back men!
My Movie Rating:
10 / 10 6 / 10 A wonderful western with a simple but strong story. I saw this one a long time ago. I remember the sequence when the boys got drunk around the campfire, when some (was it one or more?) died in a stampede and when The Duke was shot to death. The final scene is very strong, when the boys have the graveyard with the tombstone erected for their chief. Wonderful accomplishment.
