Riri Shushu no subete (2001)
Predictable rating from this old guy. This is a movie for younger, serious film buffs. For me, the movie as a whole makes a very strong argument against kids having access to internet chat rooms. And if I want to watch jerky, amateur camera action I will go to Youtube.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10The River Wild (1994)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10The River (1984)
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Road to Perdition (2002)
Riveting, but grim.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10The Road (2009)
From all the talk and reviews I knew I was in for a rough ride. But distressing as the film is, I was heartened by the genuine tenderness between the boy and his father. Kodi is beautiful and an incredible young actor. Viggo Mortensen was also impressive.
Now I just HAVE to see 'Let Me In.'
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10Robby (1968)
A nice visual treat. The way it captures the sense of place you can almost feel the heat of the sun and warm saltwater around your feet.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Rocket Gibraltar (1988)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10The Rocking Horse Winner (1949)
A modern gothic fairy tale that is eerie and compelling. J.H. Davies is appealing and very convincing as the driven, pathetic youngster. He was a fine young actor.
My Movie Rating: 10 / 10Room (2015)
Aside from his very cute looks, Jacob is a very good actor; here he is allowed to play every mood from bratty to terrified. (He sort of reminds me of Gordon Gebert from Holiday Affair (1949) )
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Room for One More (1952)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Roveh Huliot (1979)
The story has some power. It is very hard to be detached and objective about Arik Rosen.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10A Rumor of Angels (2002)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Runaway (2009)
"Oliver Twist for our own era." Hm.
Well, at least they didn't throw a lot of F bombs into it.
Some fine acting jobs and the boys are great.
My Movie Rating: 5 / 10Running on Empty (1988)
River was exceptional in this.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Rushmore (1998)
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Saint Ralph (2004)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Salaam Bombay! (1988)
Moved my rating up a notch, having seen it on DVD. Wonderful, powerful film.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10The Sandlot (1993)
A wonderful assortment of charismatic boys! Tom Guiry won my heart in this one.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10The Sandlot 3 (2007)
A notch below Sandlot 1 but still enjoyable. Ryan Drescher is a real treat.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Sanitarium (2013)
