A High Wind in Jamaica (1965)
An unromantic view of children as flawed human beings. Sad, but probly true.

Holes (2003)
On 2nd thought, I upgraded my rating from 3/10. Khleo Thomas saves it, he is such a charming little guy.

A Home of Our Own (1993)
Movie can't make up its mind whether to be charming or realistic.

Hook (1991)
Now why the heck didn't Spielberg just DO 'Peter Pan'? Disappointing, cluttered.

Hostage (2005)
The sight and sound of Jimmy Bennett gave my spirits a big lift. Otherwise, the movie is another motley junkyard of violent action and 'shut-the-f**k-up' type dialog. I Think hard-left Hollywood has a policy of forcing movie audiences to get intimate with loser psychotic types in hopes of arousing our compassion. I say, to hell with it.

How Green Was My Valley (1941)
Sentimental filmmaking raised to an art. One of the most moving boy performances ever.
(if anyone's interested, the wonderful sonorous voice of the narrator belongs to Irving Pichel who had a rich and varied career as actor and director. I only mention this because it took me 30 years to find out who the heck the narrator was. One of his directed films, by the way, was DESTINATION MOON.)

How to Eat Fried Worms (2006)
Urp! A queasy experience, but very winning boy actors.

I Am David (2003)
I enjoyed the movie a lot. Now I am about to order the book to see how much I missed. Ben Tibber is a lovable young actor.
My Movie Rating:

I Am Gabriel (2012)
Nothing really to be afraid of, just a religious message which one can take or leave alone. It would be a shame to bypass the experience of watching this angelic looking boy.
