If.... (1968)
Classic anti-establishment film.
My Movie Rating:

Into the West (1992)
A fantastic movie, blending gritty realism with myth. Two boys rescue a horse from a millionaire horse-racer and run away to the west of Ireland, pursued by the horse's owner and the police. Their father, who abandoned the family's travelling lifestyle after the death of his wife, enlists the help of his old gypsy friends to find his sons. In doing so, he becomes the father he should have been before once again.

L'Isola del tesoro (1987)

Jack Frost (1998)
Very pleasant family Christmas movie. Henry Rollins makes an amusing cameo as well.

Jake's Progress (1995)
As always, a fantastic production by Bleasdale. Barclay Wright is superb as Jake.

Jingle All the Way (1996)
It can't have been Christmas when I last rated this movie - 4/10? 6 for a Christmas movie I think - there are allowances for moralistic tweeness and poor acting for the season.
My Movie Rating:

Josh and S.A.M. (1993)
An ok movie with some good moments in.

Jurassic Park (1993)
Good action/suspense movie, and Joseph is fantastic.

Kazaam (1996)
Formula - single parent family with one kid, kid bunks off school, doesn't do homework, generally gets bullied, unlikely hero teaches him life isn't that bad - in this case its a 7 foot basketball player in silk trousers. Last Action Hero is a better production from this formula.
My Movie Rating:

Kes (1969)
A classic. At times it seems more of a documentary than a movie, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing - it's just the style of the movie's direction.
Also, I couldn't go without mentioning Brian Glover - his role as the demonic sports teacher brought back a lot of painful memories of cold winter mornings on the football field.
My Movie Rating:

Kicking and Screaming (2005)
Fairly mediocre family comedy. One or two funny moments, but it unfortunately errs too much on the side of moralistic rather than just plain comedy.
My Movie Rating:

Kid in the Corner (1999)
Fantastic debut by Eric Byrne. A great pity he doesn't seem to have been in much else since.

Lamb (1986)
A stark tale of a priest's (Liam Neeson as Michael Lamb) doomed love for a boy (Hugh O'Connor as Owen Kane) at a home run by the Catholic church. Owen is epileptic, and has already suffered beatings from his mother (Frances Tomelty) and her various boyfriends over the years. But when she puts him in the boy's home, his suffering continues, this time at the hands of the headmaster (Ian Bannen). Lamb, whose father has just died and who has lost his faith, runs away with Owen to London, chased by the police. Although some may rightly question Lamb's methods, it is a moving, if chilling, story of the lengths to which the priest will go to save Owen from the world....
