Mud (2012)

Tom Sawyer buddies up with Magwitch in a good-looking film about being a hopeless romantic and about the codes of Southern manhood. Excellent performance from Tye Sheridan.

The Mudlark (1950)

Well-made, good-looking fantasy full of top adult actors giving great performances. Andrew Ray more than holds his own alongside them.

Mukhsin (2006)

Sweet and observant film, part of Yasmin Ahmad's remarkable 'Orked trilogy' depicting the life and loves of the protagonist against the backdrop of contemporary Malaysian society. The other two are Sepet and Gubra.

My Boy (1921)

The plot's nothing new, but this is a well-made Jackie Coogan vehicle that does just what it's meant to: serve as a showcase for his exceptional gifts as an actor.

My Brave Young Man (2015)

Unlike most films using very young actors, this one manages to capture the slightly halting way young children tend to speak. I wonder if some of the dialogue wasn't improvised. A good piece with a twist at the end I didn't see coming.
