Synopsis
Abraham is a Puerto Rican single parent with two boys. He is worried about them living in a run down neighborhood. One day he notices that Cubans who escape are lionized and given exceptional benefits. He thinks up a plot to have his sons washed ashore as Cuban immigrants, who will be adopted by rich anglos. He sets the boys adrift in a boat off the Florida coast but when they are 'rescued' his scheme backfires..

My Movie Rating: 9 / 10 Appreciation for this film varies widely. Two pleasant looking boys certainly have a positive input. The film is a mixture of family drama and comedy. Near the end it even derails into slapstick. My advice to the directors of similar movies: first of all make up your mind. Therefore, I have to join Zabladowski at the lower end of the spectrum.
