Synopsis
Set in outback Australia. Young Scott, a poor famer's son, is allowed to pick a horse of his own from a neighboring ranch's herd. He chooses "Taff," a pony that is as wild as himself. Through love and devotion, Scotty and Taff become an inseparable -- though sometimes mischievous -- team. But their strong bond of loyalty is shattered when the ranch owner's daughter, Josie, a handicapped but headstrong girl, claims Taff as her own ...

8 / 10 7 / 10 Robert Bettles was perfect for the part that he played in this movie.

9 / 10 Bettles was a marvelous young actor, and in particular with this film. But he received absolutely no support in this picture. The boy's father, the girl who tries to take the horse..... terrible acting all-around. If it weren't for the incredible effort on Bettles' part, (even the look in his eyes is real, you know he believes every minute of this story, and he plays it well). Wish it could be rated higher, but he just couldn't do it alone.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10 I love movie very much. Robert Bettles is very good actor in film and way he talk and his face make me beleive he really do live in poor farm. I think his dad in film got bad acting but boy is very very good.
This is one of favorite films for me and I hope some day to find dvd.
