Synopsis

After the death of his mother, Johannes has to return to Germany to live with his father. He initially finds no connection with him, nor with the other boys and staff at the NAPOLA where he is sent to be educated. Through the belief of a staff member, Johannes eventually learns the meaning of camaraderie and reconciles with his father.
