Synopsis

Two city kids, Mike Bishop (David Lees) and his sister Mary (Petula Clark), go to stay at a country farm belonging to their uncle, Mr. Dixon, who carefully and lucidly explains to them the importance of such things as not leaving gates open and not starting fires. The following day the rather dim children proceed to do everything they were warned not to, and end up in an awful lot of trouble.

Notes

Based on a story by the English writer Malcolm Saville (1901-1982), whose novel of the same name was published in 1945, the film was conceived as an educational movie designed to teach city children about the countryside code.
