The Secret of Roan Inish

Synopsis
After World War II is over, Fiona, whose mother has died and whose infant brother Jamie was swept out to sea in his cradle, is sent to live with her grandparents and her cousin Eamon (Richard Sheridan) near the island of Roan Inish. There, Fiona learns that her family is descended from the union of a man and a selkie (a folkloric creature who can change from seal to human form by shedding its skin), and it is not long before she is convinced that she has seen Jamie on the coast of Roan Inish, being cared for by seals.
