Synopsis

After WWII Old Kraske works on growing his farm which he intends to leave to his beloved grandson Tinko. When his son Ernst returns from POW camp and starts supporting communal work it causes a rift in the family. Tinko stays with his grandfather but gradually warms up to his father and his ideals.
