Synopsis
Late 1940's Bavaria. Tom lost his parents in the war and now lives with his aunt, who makes a meagre living with bits of sewing to support Tom and her own son. His friend Hacke, also an orphan, lives in an old construction site caravan. When the two of them make an attempt to remove Hacke?s warts by magic in the cemetery one full moon, they witness a murder. Tom and Hacke are terrified and swear they will say nothing to anyone. But when the good-natured wastepaper dealer Muffler is falsely accused, they no longer know what to do?
