Based on a story by Cristian Mungiu, director of the wonderful films Beyond the Hills and 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days. The latter, together with Chabrol's A Story of Women and Leigh's Vera Drake, must be the best film ever made about illegal abortion. For legal abortion you can't do better than Never Rarely Sometimes Always, Unpregnant and the superb Dutch short film Magnesium.
