7 / 10 7 / 10 I loved it! i was little disappointed that Charlie didn't have any more screen time than he did, but what scenes he had were quite charming! I'm not that much into Classical music, but I do like Tchaikovsky's music, especially "The Nutcracker Suite"
I saw The Nutcracker on DVD with Macauly Caulkin and wasn't as impressed as I am with this movie. The DVD had a great "Making of" feature! It had a couple of moments of Elle, Charlie, and Aaron during leasure time on Set, and clowning around between Takes. This movie was a delight for me, and I highly recommend it for family viewing!

9 / 10 A great film! Elle Fanning was great and Charlie Rowe was great, only he didn't have much screen time. Wonderful cast including Nathan Lane, John Turturro, and Frances de la Tour. I enjoyed that the film did not follow the traditional 'Nutcracker' story. It's its own story. The film is a musical and the plot did seem to drag at times. Still a wonderful film especially one for the holidays.

Not a good movie. I give additional points for Aaron and Charlie. But they did not have enough screentime. The rest of the film was just meh. Maybe it is better in 3D. I watched the 2D version.
