"What you talkin bout, Willis?!" I always felt so bad about how Gary's life and career turned out! He had a great talent for comedy, unfortunately he and his co stars Todd Bridges and Dana Plato were one of those worse case sinarios where kids in the industry become "type-cast" by the industry. After Diff'rent Strokes ended, all 3 of the main kid Actors either ended up on drugs, or in trouble with the law, or both! Todd Bridges and Dana Plato both had scrapes with law inforcement. Gary stood trial for Assault for eledgedly slapping a woman for heckling him, I don't
remember how that case turned out. If memory sevres, Plato died of a drug overdose, Coleman died of complications due to his lifelong kidney disease. I do know that Gary sued his parents over money they were supposed to put in a trust fund, but that turned out be money garanteed to the parents by the "Coogan Act" which allows the parents to keep 2/3 of his earnings, only after 1/3 is put in that trust fund.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10
