Synopsis
Scientist Harry Dalton is sent to the small town of Dante's Peak to check on unusual activity. Spurred by the volcano related death of a previous lover, Dalton urges the mayor to put the city on alert. Dalton's boss arrives and countermands Dalton demanding scientific proof. When the proof finally arrives, Harry and the mayor must go to the volcano to rescue her two children and ex-mother-in-law. Tension builds as they try to reach safety while the town below is destroyed.

1 / 10 I love this movie, according to the special features of the DVD, the town the film was shot in was a town in the northern casades of Washington State, If memory serves. I had the DVD a few years ago. I enjoy this movie and watch it every chance I get, Jeremy Foley had a big boyhood crush on Linda Hamilton, watch the DVD special features, he indicates this in an interview. I thought jeremy was very watchable and did well in his role, he didn't seem like he was acting!
In the scene where Jamie's character saw the dead bodies and screamed, her scream was SO realistic, I think, to get the reaction and effect the Director wanted, they (off camera) showed her something they knew would scare the crap out of her, like a snake, spider, or something, her reaction was too realistic to be just acting!
