Synopsis
In an upper-class Victorian boarding school, a loveable schoolboy suffers at the hands of a vicious bully and is inspired by a forward-thinking headmaster. Really solid and enjoyable. The most interesting Tom Brown these days, however, may be the 1916 silent, incidentally now an 'Orphan Work' under EU law.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10Interesting enough, faithful to the book but the acting style is too theatrical for television. A further negative is the lack of polished direction and laughably unconvincing fisticuff scenes.
