Synopsis
On the same day two boys are born: the pauper, Tom, and the prince, Edward. One day Tom sneaks into the palace garden and comes face to face with the prince. They are so much alike in appearance they decide to exchange places for a while. After swapping clothes the guards discover them and throw out the prince is dressed like a pauper. Nobody believes them when they try to tell the truth. Soon after, the old king dies and the prince will inherit the throne.

8 / 10 8 / 10 This is another of those wonderful old B&W boy films from the thirties. The Mauch twins play their parts almost to perfection and even Errol Flynn can't act them off the set! Also of note is the film's musical score written by Erich Korngold which is quite outstanding and has been mentioned by several film reviewers in the past.
