Synopsis
Early is a championship long distance runner at his school. Isolated from his widowed father who is preoccupied with trying to keep the family farm together, Early has an all-consuming desire to win at everything. When an accident fells him, Early's despair is overwhelming. It isn't until a tough therapist enters his life that Early is even willing to try to get out of bed. His efforts to regain his skills and run again win the attention of his father and the two finally recognize the best in each other.
