Synopsis
10 year old Harald is the son of a Viking chieftain and wants to grow up to be just like his father. However, King Grimnir wants to seize all Viking ships, so the men of the tribe are forced to sail to keep their ship. Harald's village is occupied by soldiers of the king, and he is made a slave. Hoping in vain for his father's return, Herald soon realizes that this will not happen and he is finally driven to act on his own.

Iceland's Outlaw: The Saga of Gisli is a careful and broadly very faithful and accurate film adaptation of one of the Icelandic sagas. This takes more imaginative license but it's no lighthearted adventure, rather a dark, grim, very well-made coming-of-age tale.
