Synopsis
The story is about a "shaggy white dog of indeterminate strain" bitten during a rattlesnake battle. A young boy finds the wounded dog and nurses him back to health. When the boy's father demands the boy release the healthy dog back to the wild, the boy runs away with the dog. The father goes in search of the boy only to find him surrounded by rattlesnakes. It takes Ole Rex to fight off the snakes and save the boy's life.
