This movie was nothing but boring. Most scenes were way too long, the camera seemed to linger on the protagonists for ages in absolutely meaningless moments. I remember one time actually exclaiming "Oh, please, now cut", only to have another five seconds pass in vain. I guess this is some sort of distinct Russian style, as "The Return" was similar in that respect. I for my part found this extraordinarily annoying. Apart from that, there is nothing going on plot-wise. Whatever plot there was intended to be is almost completely killed off by the long-winded cinematography. I remember one awkward scene when the boy tries to hang up his short on a clothesline that is high above his head, only in order to avoid the woman touch this intimate piece of clothing. You see him jumping around like for 5 minutes. Better have a good novel ready to avoid falling asleep.
