Synopsis
Constant is a 14 year old boy who helps out at the pub of his grandmother, he tries to make the best of life even though his mother has recently been admitted to an asylum. When he falls in love with the new help in the pub, he discovers that he has a gift for poetry. His grandmother is not happy about it all and forbids him to write. When the new help decides to move to Australia and his mother commits suicide, he writes one final poem which he admits to a contest....
