Synopsis
11 year old Matthias is completely engrossed in the world of football, faithfully following every game of the home team. Since Matthias? father, Richard (Lohmeyer, Klamroth?s father in real life), was captured during the war and sent to a prison camp in Siberia, Matthias? mother has kept the family together. A broken man, and one of the last batch of prisoners released by the Russians, Richard comes home and tries to assert his authority on the household.
