Synopsis
Gangster Sonny is the big man in the Bronx neighborhood. A shooting witnessed by 9 year old Calogero is the starting point of a lasting bond between the gangster and the boy. Calogero's bus driver father disapproves of the relationship his son has with Sonny. Calogero grows up under the wings of both men, torn between his own natural honesty and his fascination with Sonny. C's neighborhood cronies get involved in theft, use of guns, racial fights. When C meets girl, things don't become easier.

My Movie Rating: 8 / 10 7 / 10 6 / 10 Francis Capra was hand picked by Robert DeNiro and Chazz Palminteri, I'm not surprised DeNiro did a great job on his Directorial debut, He is very much the perfectionist, in the movie "This Boy's Life" in the scene where he had Leo D'Caprio on the floor and was choking him, he WAS really choking him! Leo gave him signal when to release that they worked out before the scene was shot! I did not know that Palminteri is the author of the stage play the movie is based on, BONUS!
