Although the kid actors are fairly appealing, the movie itself stinks. The acting is mediocre, the plot is quite stupid and the direction is uninspiring.

Pleasant enough movie but the DVD seems to lack continuity, as if scenes have been removed to make the film shorter, though I've no idea what the original length was. I struggled to give this film a 6/10 because the acting is over the top and the subtitles are often poorly translated and at times quite obviously incorrect. The kid actors are certainly appealing and they alone make the film worth checking out.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Paradise (1988-1991)

My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Paradise, Texas (2005)
Watchable, pleasant, low-key movie offers no surprises with it's rather predictable storyline. Ben Estus is appealing as a 'Billy Elliot' type kid who loves to dance and gets cast in a movie opposite a fading star actor. The strikingly handsome Dylan Patton plays the actor's eldest son, a budding movie maker who makes his own little movies with a video camera.
