East Is East (1999)
Very well directed, very cool film. At times I laughed, at times I cried, and sometimes I did both at the same time.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10EastEnders (1985-????)
My Movie Rating: 4 / 10Eerie, Indiana (1991-1992)
A very cool series which, I think, rescued Omri Katz from his typecast role in Dallas.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Emmerdale (1972-????)
My Movie Rating: 4 / 10Empire of the Sun (1987)
As an adaptation of the novel, the film was pretty good. As an interpretation of the role of Jim, Christian Bale's performance was fantastic.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Ender's Game (2013)
To be honest, I only went to see it because Asa Butterfield was in it, and yes, his being in it was about the only thing to really recommend it. It wasn't a terrible film, but I didn't feel the immersion in the story that I was expecting, it didn't feel as 'epic' as it perhaps should have done.
My Movie Rating: 5 / 10Explorers (1985)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Father and Scout (1994)
To most intents and purposes, this is an absolutely terrible film. It's mostly a vehicle for Bob Saget's sarcasm.
One of the film's messages did ring true though - the lessons of childhood are far harder to learn in adulthood.
My Movie Rating: 4 / 10A Father for Charlie (1995)
As usual, Joseph gives an outstanding performance in this film. Quite apart from that though, the film is a great testament to the will power and love of a boy, a stark comment on the depths of racism and a fine example of how good things can happen...
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10Father of the Bride (1991)
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Father of the Bride Part II (1995)
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10A Feast at Midnight (1994)
Fabulous movie portraying the usual British public school elements - bullying, companionship, lonliness, ruthless authority, and boyhood pranks. But it is also a lot more than that - Magnus (Freddie Findlay) takes an alternative approach to making friends and building himself an identity in the faceless public school he is sent to - cooking. He suddenly becomes the most popular boy in his year, forcing the year’s bully to find ways of snitching on Magnus’s new “Scoffers” club to regain his standing.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Finding Neverland (2004)
I'm not normally one to use such words, but - absolutely magical.
While Johnny Depp was brilliant, with a convincing, understated accent, Freddie Highmore stole the show.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10First Kid (1996)
Really just a Sinbad vehicle, but Brock Pierce plays a good part.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Flight of the Navigator (1986)
Very much an 80's children's fantasy film, but a good 80's children's fantasy film :-)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Flipper (1963)
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Fluke (1995)
My Movie Rating: 5 / 10Forever Young (1992)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Free Willy (1993)
First movie - young tearaway boy makes friends with a killer whale, and he comes to terms with his circumstances. Good movie.
Second movie - same boy, now older, teaches a young boy how to appreciate animals, by introducing him to his killer whale friend. Saves whale from being killed. Poor by comparison.
Third movie - same boy, now older, teaches a young boy how to appreciate animals, by introducing him to his killer whale friend. Saves whale from being killed. Poor by comparison.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home (1995)
