Synopsis

A young boy (Austin O'Brien) finds some mysterious eggs which hatch to reveal a brood of baby dinosaurs! In fact, the eggs had been stolen by Rico, a sleazy museum curator, from a South American rainforest tribe for whom they were sacred - and when Rico finds out who now has the dinosaurs he is determined to get them back.

Notes

This was the first in a trilogy of films about the five miniature baby dinosaurs introduced in this movie, succeeded by "Prehysteria! 2" (1994) and "Prehysteria! 3" (1995). With the exception of actor Owen Bush, who played Mr. Caniston in both the second and third films, each film had a completely different cast, playing completely different characters.
"Prehysteria!" was Austin O'Brien's first lead role.
