Synopsis

After losing his parents in the mountains during a terrible storm, little Giacomino Rasi (Elio Sannangelo) joins an Alpine regiment, and shares the hardships and dangers of the fighting of the First World War.

Based on the 1926 novel of the same name by Italian author Salvator Gotta (1887-1980)
The novel on which this film was based was later adapted into a television miniseries entitled Mino (1986), starring Guido Cella in the title role.
