Biography

Simon 'Stuffy' Singer was born in Los Angeles, California. After spending his youth as a boy actor, Stuffy eventually found his calling in the world of sport. He won the Los Angeles city tennis tournament, was ranked nationally in table tennis, was an all-league football quarterback, and had become a pro baseball player at 19. Deciding that handball was his forte, he went on to win the southern California title within two years, and the national singles title at the age of 26. He is indeed regarded as one of the all-time greats in his chosen sport. To some, however, he will always be the handsome 14-year-old lad in a Season One episode of "Fury", who had to be persuaded by Joey that poverty was no barrier to joining the Boy Scouts.
